Cormac Battle

Cormac Battle (born 11 July 1972) is an Irish musician and radio presenter/producer. He is the vocalist and lead guitarist with the bands Kerbdog and Wilt, as well as the current presenter of RTÉ 2fm's alternative music programme ''The Battle Axe''.
==Early life==
Battle is a native of Kilkenny, Ireland, having moved from Bromley, UK at an early age. He spent the summer of 1990 working fifteen-hour shifts as a security guard in South London, making the daily commute via tube from his North London abode. To get him through the experience he listened to the Sonic Youth song "Dirty Boots", saying it made him feel like Travis Bickle.〔Battle, Cormac. RTÉ 2fm. 11 December 2008. (Whilst acting as a substiture for Dan Hegarty on his 12:00 – 02:00 ''Alternative to Sleep''.)〕
Things changed around dramatically in 1991, when he began working in a café in Clapham. The hours were considerably shorter, and he was able to get the bus. In spite of this change, he continued to listen to "Dirty Boots", as well as beginning to frequently watch action films.〔Battle, Cormac. RTÉ 2fm. 14 July 2012.''.)〕
